General terms and conditions

These conditions apply to all trial lessons, drum lessons and agreements with dedrum.studio.

By booking a trial lesson or regular lessons, you agree to these conditions.

Registration is via the dedrum.studio website.

A trial lesson is with no commitment and is intended to get acquainted with the studio, the teaching method and the drum playing.

After the trial lesson, if a suitable place is available, you will receive an offer for a regular lesson time.

A trial lesson does not guarantee a permanent place.

One free trial lesson can be booked per person.

New students are placed based on the available lesson times.

I try to take day and time preferences into account as much as possible. Unfortunately, I can never guarantee a specific lesson time.

Is there no suitable place available? Then, if you wish, I will place you on the waiting list.

As soon as a suitable lesson time becomes available, I will contact you personally.

When you are offered a lesson time, I ask you to respond within the specified period. After this period, the place can be offered to someone else.

An offered lesson time does not suit you? Then, if desired, you can simply remain on the waiting list.

Drum lessons take place on a fixed day and time.

The timetable is reviewed at the end of each school year. Existing students have priority over new registrations.

I try to maintain existing lesson times as much as possible. Sometimes changes are necessary to create a well-functioning schedule. If that is the case, I always discuss this personally.

The teaching year generally follows the school holidays of the North region.

In principle, no regular lessons are given during official school holidays and public holidays, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Deviations are always communicated in a timely manner.

Invoices are sent digitally.

Payment is preferably made via iDEAL or another available payment method.

I kindly request that you pay the invoice within the stated payment term.

If a payment is not made, you will first receive a payment reminder.

If an invoice remains unpaid, dedrum.studio reserves the right to temporarily suspend the lessons until the outstanding payment has been made.

Important information about classes, schedule changes, payments and other communications will be sent by email.

Therefore, make sure that your email address and other contact details remain current. dedrum.studio is not responsible for missed information if contact information is incorrect or not current.

Can't you come sometime? Please let us know as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, a missed lesson cannot be made up as standard.

If my schedule allows, I will gladly see whether a catch-up lesson is possible. This is an extra service, subject to availability, and is not guaranteed.

Missed catch-up lessons cannot be rescheduled.

If you are late for a lesson, the lesson ends at the agreed time so the next student’s lesson can begin on time.

If a lesson from dedrum.studio has to be cancelled, I will always provide a suitable solution, such as a replacement lesson or a catch-up option.

Do you want to stop taking drum lessons? This is always possible with a notice period of one month.

You can give notice by email.

The notice period begins when your notice reaches us.

Outstanding invoices remain due.

The current prices are always stated on the prices page.

Price changes are communicated in advance and never apply retroactively.

Everyone is welcome at dedrum.studio.

I ask students to treat each other, the instruments and the studio with respect.

Damage caused by intentional or careless actions can be recovered from the perpetrator.

Parents or guardians remain responsible for their child until the lesson starts and once the lesson has ended, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to take photos or videos of their own child during class.

dedrum.studio does not take any photos or videos during the lessons.

The building in which dedrum.studio is located (N201) is equipped with security cameras in and around the general areas. These cameras are present for the safety of visitors, renters and property and are used only for security, in accordance with applicable privacy law.

If dedrum.studio wants to take photos or videos for promotional purposes in the future, written permission will always be requested from the relevant parents, guardians or students.

Personal data will only be used for lessons, administration and communication around dedrum.studio.

I handle this data with care and process personal data in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation (GDPR). More information can be found in the privacy policy.

Participation in the lessons is at your own risk.

dedrum.studio is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property, except in the case of intent or gross negligence.

In exceptional situations, such as illness, government measures, power outages or other circumstances beyond the control of dedrum.studio, lessons may be moved or canceled.

In such a situation, a suitable solution is always sought.

These terms have been drawn up to make clear agreements and prevent misunderstandings.

If a situation arises that is not provided for in these conditions, we will work together to find a reasonable and appropriate solution.

Dutch law applies to these conditions.
