Drummer from Amsterdam. He has been teaching drums in Aalsmeer since 2011, founded a studio with his brother at the age of 21 and has played on international stages. Since 2025, dedrum.studio has been located at N201 in Aalsmeer.

I grew up in Amsterdam South East. I got my first pair of drumsticks around the age of six. From Henry and Roberto I learned the first rudiments, but especially how much fun you can have behind a drum kit. I've kept playing ever since.
When I was 21, I started Silver Note Studios with my brother Jonathan. A recording studio, practice rooms and a music school under one roof. This is where I started teaching and it is still my home base. To record, rehearse and make music.
A student plays a song on his phone. Together we figure out how the groove works: learn technique and timing, and have fun while doing it. By the end of the lesson, they can play the first eight bars. Moments like that are why I teach. I teach about 40 students per week, from the age of 5. Since 2025 at N201 and on Wednesdays at note.studio.
Fabian and I led drum clinics across the Netherlands and once in New York. A room full of drummers listening, playing, and exchanging licks. We learned from one another without turning it into a competition.
After years of mostly teaching, I did one more audition. I got the spot and went on to be Sevdaliza's drummer for eight years. More than 300 shows on five continents, in more than 45 cities. From the Wanderess Tour to NPR Tiny Desk in 2021 and ARTE Concert in Paris. Now I'm mainly at home in Aalsmeer again.
