Privacy policy

dedrum.studio is a drum lesson company based in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. We give drum lessons and use digital tools for administration, invoicing and communication with students.

We collect and process the following personal data:

• Name and contact details (email address, telephone number)
• Billing details and payment information
• Class schedule and attendance information
• WhatsApp phone number (for notifications)

• Scheduling and giving drum lessons
• Preparing and sending invoices
• Sending notifications via email and WhatsApp (invoices, class schedule, holiday information)
• Processing payments
• Communication about your lessons and our services

We process your data based on:

• Performance of our agreement (providing drum lessons and associated administration)
• Your consent (for WhatsApp notifications)
• Legal obligation (tax record retention requirements)

We use the following services:

• Cal.com (EU region): for scheduling trial lessons and catch-up lessons
• Formspree: for processing messages via the contact form
• Invoiless: for creating and sending invoices
• Mollie: for processing payments
• Resend: for sending email notifications. Resend stores email data in the United States.
• TransIP (STACK): for the practice sheets in Mijn drumles
• WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta): for notifications via WhatsApp
• Cloudflare: for hosting and security of our website
• Apple iCloud: for my own lesson calendar (first name, lesson time and whether a lesson is cancelled)
• Google Analytics: for anonymous visitor statistics
• Spotify: for the music player on the page about Anthony (only loads when you scroll to it)

We never sell your data to third parties.

We store your personal data as long as you are a student and then for a maximum of 7 years, in line with the tax retention obligation.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Have your data corrected or deleted
• Restrict the processing of your data
• Withdraw your consent (e.g. for WhatsApp notifications)
• Submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority

If you give permission, we will send you notifications via WhatsApp about invoices, class schedules and holidays. You can unsubscribe at any time by letting us know. We use Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform for this.

Mijn drumles is where you see your lessons, homework and sheets. For this I store:

• What I already keep track of from your lessons: schedule, lesson notes, homework, sheets and what you can already do.
• What you fill in yourself: your practice week, what you want to learn, your birthday, your drummer, quiz results and cancellations with the reason.
• When you log in (kept for 90 days) and which devices you use Face ID or your fingerprint on. Your face or fingerprint data stays on your device. I never receive it. To log you in, I store a public login key.
• If your child has their own login, I also store your child's email address.

For Mijn drumles I use Cloudflare, Resend for email and TransIP (STACK) for the sheets. Resend stores email data in the United States. I have a data processing agreement with all three.

Mijn drumles uses one login cookie. Your device also remembers a few small settings, such as which child you looked at last. No ads, no tracking.

You can download your data in Mijn drumles. Want data deleted? Let me know. Data I am legally required to keep cannot be deleted right away.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
