The quest.
Before Hi-Head came along, a few other directions came along. Some were cool, but too literal. Others did not yet feel completely their own. These were the first options.
The Panda Bear
A panda bear with attitude. In the beginning this one had the best chance, especially because it immediately felt good.
The Alligator
This one appealed to me the least at first. But the snare on his back suddenly changed the idea.
A cymbal for a head
This is where Hi-Head first came to life. There was something about an old samurai from Japanese films that I used to (and still) like.
Hi-Head further developed
After that, the character was further developed. Important: the logos and ideas I already had were subtly reflected in the design.

Hi-Head is the mascot of dedrum.studio.
He symbolizes everything the studio is about: drums, creativity and fun. Not an ordinary logo, but a character that you encounter everywhere in the world of dedrum.studio.
